What can I do if I've lost access to the email or phone number I signed up with on Instagram?

If you've lost access to the e-mail or telephone number you won't check-in for Instagram, you'll either attempt to regain access to the e-mail or telephone number otherwise you can update your profile with a new account information.

Try to regain access to your email account

If you've lost access to your email account, you'll attempt to ask your email provider to assist you to regain access thereto. Many email providers offer how to recover access to your account if you ever forget your password or if the account is hacked.

When you attempt to log in to your email provider, there could also be an option like forget your password? or trouble signing in? which will allow you to contact them or complete an invitation for extra support. you'll get to provide them with a telephone number, answers to security questions, or other information to verify your access request. Instagram can't provide any assistance with helping you revisit your email account.

Change your Instagram account email or telephone number 

If you cannot regain access to the e-mail or telephone number you want to check-in for Instagram, you will need to log into Instagram and alter the e-mail or telephone number on your profile with a replacement email account that you simply can access. this is often necessary to make sure you'll still access Instagram and to make sure somebody else can't gain access to your Instagram account with an email or telephone number you not use.
